Hahahaha, sorry just kidding.   Jason Raines did do a free seminar at the Cycle Gear in Greensboro,NC.

Raines went through a great presentation and was very open and friendly with those in attendance.

He represented his actual team and sponsors in a great way.

Thanks for the tips Mr. Raines!  Good luck in Florida!

Dramaha Racing

Written by: Charkie Huegel | 23 February 2010

Going to a GNCC race is fun. Yes it is.  Some are more fun than others.  Think about the most fun race that you have had.  For most, it was a great weekend combined with a win, a good pass at the end, a big comeback after a first turn crash, or some other scenario in which you had to overcome something difficult.  When you made it happen, the rush of endorphins made you feel incredible.

Of course we all know that it is fun to race.  That is why we are there.  However the point I want to elaborate on is that it is more fun to have a good race.  A good race is a loosely defined term but some good examples would be to win or finish well.

Written by: Charkie Huegel | 16 February 2010

Highland Motors AB is the newest player in the dirtbike game. Highland Motors is from Sweden but their company in charge of US sourcing, production, and marketing is fittingly named US Highland. I got the chance to talk to Kurt King of US Highland while he was driving back to the headquarters in Tulsa, OK from the Indy trade show. Continue Reading

Written by: Jared Bolton | 13 February 2010

So you’ve survived the monster sand whoops at round 1 in Florida. Now you’ve got a few days off, before round 2 in Georgia, and for many of you that means staying the week in the dirty south.

I won’t lie, I’m no expert on the state of Georgia. I just make occasional visits, but I do pay great attention to detail when I go anywhere, and I have a pamphlet from the welcome center, so I’m legit. Anyway, I have a few ideas to help you out.

Now, you may be asking yourself, what can I do? I’ve got Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to kill some time. Well, I’ve compiled a list of things you may be interested in to keep yourself busy. So let the drum roll begin because here is the top 12 and 1/2 list of Things To Do On Your GNCC Vacation Continue Reading

Florida GNCC Survival Guide

Written by: Charkie Huegel | 09 February 2010

The opening round is near.  I can practically feel that fine, dry, Florida sand working its way down the back of my pants into a very precarious “hiding” place.  Here are some things to remember before you make your way to the Sunshine state.  Remember to be at the starting line on time so that you can hear Buren Hamricks colorful descriptions of the track.  “Roun tha fur mol mark, thurs gon be a rock, then a root…..and so on and so forth.”

Welcome to the Future?

Written by: Charkie Huegel | 08 February 2010

Last week I got the chance to ride the new Zero dirt bike. I was very skeptical of how an electric bike would compare to my new KX450. Well, they don’t really compare, except for price! The Zero held its own though with fun. I was very surprised with the acceleration. It was awesome and it pulled my 185 pound body around better than a 125 2 stroke. OK, so I am more like 190, you got me! Anyway, it has great acceleration and it would definitely be competitive against ”normal” bikes under the right conditions. It goes 0-30 in 2 seconds and 0-55 in about 4. Unfortunately the top speed of about 45. Sure you can change the gearing(it has a 71? tooth rear sprocket stock), but then you will lose some acceleration.
