Possibly. We all love dirtbike racing. There are a bunch of different ways to do it but what it comes down to is which form provides the most entertainment. The more crashes there are the bigger the entertainment value. Trials stuff is sick nasty but it barely has an audience in the USA because the guys are so darn good that they rarely eat it. Also more exciting is the head to head competition format. Enduros are great but fans get confused as do the riders. Basically, the most pure form of racing is head to head. This man vs. man bout style racing is what leads to aggressive passes and pushing yourself to out do a competitior.
