When I was in high school I took a couple of shop classes. One of which was an off campus class. I think that’s where I made a cool KTM logo on a band saw. Well, I mean, I started on a cool KTM logo. I never did finish it. What I had completed was the basic outline of the logo but I never did go back and cut out the inside of it. The chunk of wood sat on a shelf in my room for a few years then I took the initative to pick it up and finish it. Once it was completed I went back over it was some nice silver spray paint and topped it off with a nice black outline, hand drawn with a Sharpie I might add. Ok, so maybe it doesn’t look REALLY good but I figure it looks okay for something that it took me a few years to finish.

It’s highly likely that if you’re reading this, you are committed to the sport in some way. Most of you race or at least ride, or some of you are involved in the sport some how. When you’re truly committed to the sport, it leads to a totally different lifestyle than ‘normal’ people. Chances are most of you live for the sport.

It’s no secret that in today’s moto society that it seems like a lot of the hardcore racer crowd pretty much turns a cold shoulder to their local dealerships. Some get better deals through sponsorships, some get better deals through their contacts, a lot just stick to the online superstores that seem to have nearly everything.

Do you ever take the time to just sit back and think about how much you love our sport? Do you ever have those moments when you suddenly say to yourself, “wow. I love this sport”
We all love it. We wouldn’t be out there if we didn’t. Heck, the guys that don’t truly love it don’t stick around for long, and they’re usually the guys that shouldn’t be out there to begin with. So the 2010 GNCC series is officially in full swing. Now that everyone has survived the first two round, it’s finally time to sit back and have more than a few days between races. With the season underway, just 2 rounds in and things are already pretty interesting.
Throughout the weeks leading up to Round 1, it looked as if Charlie Mullins was going to be the guy to beat. With several wins at SETRA races and a win at the National Enduro opener, he showed that just because he has no real factory support this year, doesn’t mean he can’t win.

So you’ve survived the monster sand whoops at round 1 in Florida. Now you’ve got a few days off, before round 2 in Georgia, and for many of you that means staying the week in the dirty south.
I won’t lie, I’m no expert on the state of Georgia. I just make occasional visits, but I do pay great attention to detail when I go anywhere, and I have a pamphlet from the welcome center, so I’m legit. Anyway, I have a few ideas to help you out.
