SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN SKI RESORT! Wow, it just sounds gnarly.
The Snowshoe GNCC is a fantastic race. The terrain is brutal and has a nostalgic feel to it. Who can witness a live engine 5 wide start on the pavement, the dark and shady overgrown forests, feel the cool West Virginia air battling the hot sun, and not feel somewhat reminiscent of the most popular offroad race ever? If a drunken redneck on an old ATV decided to ride the course during the race, sure I would flip him the bird, but I would also feel complete.

Who’s ready to go GNCC racing in Ohio this weekend?
Sunday Creek Raceway is a motocross track owned by the Russell family. So this GNCC will feature some of the moto track, but it should be pretty tame. I know some racers(1 friend in particular) that were intimidated by the Aonia Pass MX track at the Georgia GNCC. Well ye shalt not fear of Sunday Creek MX. It is fun but we normally do not ride much of it and it is pretty tame. The rest of the race course its self is usually really good. In the past there has been, “The Penton Section” which is tight fresh trail through the trees and bright green vegetation. Im assuming that we will have another “Penton Section” this year.

We are getting closer to the Mountain Ridge GNCC in Somerset, Pennsylvania. Do you think that there will be any mountains there? What about riding on ridges? My buddy’s cousin said that it was rocky and that it will beat up my bike. Does this mean that I should not go or just borrow someone else’s bike to race? Continue Reading

The Big Buck GNCC is this weekend and we are going to get you prepared! A large portion of the community down in Union, SC gets excited for the GNCCers coming into town. The vendors will be plentiful, including a futuristic looking ATM trailer. The Big Buck has been a stop in the GNCC tour for nearly 15 years. In fact, here is the tracks website, www.bigbuckracing.com. That should tell you more than you need to know. I even learned that there is a Skating Rink only 12 miles from the track…………and they should be open Saturday night. hint hint. Continue Reading

The opening round is near. I can practically feel that fine, dry, Florida sand working its way down the back of my pants into a very precarious “hiding” place. Here are some things to remember before you make your way to the Sunshine state. Remember to be at the starting line on time so that you can hear Buren Hamricks colorful descriptions of the track. “Roun tha fur mol mark, thurs gon be a rock, then a root…..and so on and so forth.”
